About Me
The people of Carroll County’s Eighth district have a great opportunity in the fall of 2024. The New Hampshire legislature is designed to provide people with a lot of representation. I’m running for one of the seats in the New Hampshire House (officially known as the General Court). The aim of this design is to attempt to achieve what we should all want, a more full and complete democracy.
We currently have Representatives whose views are far outside the mainstream. Their positions on legislation leave between half and two thirds of the district’s people unrepresented. There is no need to let this inequity stand. In the autumn of this year, the people of Carroll County can replace extremists with moderate representatives.
Even in a traditionally conservative district, the people can be accurately spoken for by choosing the best candidates. It serves no one’s interest to have individuals in the legislature who are there to dismantle public institutions and support poorly crafted policies that raise the taxes of their constituents unnecessarily. This legislative agenda is being imported into the state. When Kelly Ayotte says that she doesn’t want New Hampshire to become Massachusetts, does that mean that she wants it to become Texas, or Ohio?
Personally, I want New Hampshire to be New Hampshire. I grew up here.
